Mission Eye Care

Established in 2005, we are a large medical and retail eye care center with 6 optometrists, a large gallery with over 1500 frames and sunglasses, and a dedicated dry eye treatment center. We are a technology forward clinic with state of the art equipment for diagnostic imaging, dry eye treatment, myopia control, specialty and scleral contact lens fitting and more. Equipment such as optomap widefield retinal imaging and optical coherence tomography (OCT) allow us to see across and underneath the retina for early signs of damage from macular degeneration, diabetes or glaucoma. We are also the only clinic in Canada with an accredited residency program for the teaching of specialty contact lens fitting. We remain Alberta's primary referral centre for the fitting of specialty contact lenses for diseased corneas due to keratoconus, corneal-transplant, and failed refractive surgery. We are the only clinic in Canada with 4 doctors residency trained in the fitting of these complex lenses. We also have a dedicated clinic for myopia control for children to slow the progression of near-sightedness.
