Willoughby Doctors of Optometry is looking for a motivated, patient-focused Associate Optometrist to join our growing practice in 2027!
We are a busy, full-scope optometry clinic with a loyal, established patient base and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional, personalized eye care. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern practice with advanced diagnostic technology, a diverse scope of clinical services, and a supportive team environment.
New graduates are welcome! We are happy to provide mentorship and support to help you build confidence and develop your clinical skills.
THE OPPORTUNITY
● Schedule: 3 days per week, including Saturdays
● Start date: 2027
● Compensation: Competitive based on gross revenues, which results in high earning potential
● Mentorship: Support and guidance available for new graduates
● Patient base: Busy practice with an established, loyal patient community
ABOUT OUR PRACTICE
We provide comprehensive, full-scope optometric care, with special interests in:
● Myopia management including Orthokeratology (Ortho-K)
● Specialty contact lenses
● Dry eye disease diagnosis and management
● Comprehensive eye examinations and ocular health assessments
Our modern clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology to support excellent patient care, including:
● Optomap retinal imaging with OCT
● Auto RK
● Humphrey visual field analyzer
● Corneal topographer
● Axial length measurement
● Retinologik
● Neurolens technology
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We welcome both new graduates and experienced optometrists who are passionate about patient care and interested in growing professionally.
The ideal candidate will:
● Be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice optometry in British Columbia and be a member of BCDO (BC Doctors of Optometry)
● Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Enjoy building long-term relationships with patients.
● Be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
● Have an interest in comprehensive optometry and advanced clinical services.
Experience in myopia management, orthokeratology, specialty contact lenses, or dry eye disease is an asset, but a willingness to learn and grow is equally valued.
